After one of your EDF buddies destroys the barricade, follow your new companion.
Nearby you will also find a supply chest, including pipe bombs and steroids.
After a dozen or so properly fired rockets, the Battlelord will fall to his knees.
You have to quickly run to him and follow the prompts displayed on the screen.
After you finally defeat and humiliate the boss, a passage leading to the next level will open.
