you might begin this mission only after completingAsk Deor About Baldor’s Disappearance.
The blacksmith is being held in theAbandoned Lodgenorth-east ofRaven Rock(map above).
When you reach the destination, you will be attacked by threeThalmor Soldiers.
Defeating them is a piece of cake - especially if you surprise them.
Head inside the hut and to the basement using the stairs on the left.
This art is known only t the blacksmiths of theSkaal Village, hence the kidnap.
Head out to find the greedy elf and take retrieve the priceless map.
There’s no easy passage there - the optimum path seems to lead west fromGlacial Caveor north ofWater Stone.
Whichever you choose, you will eventually reach a small camp at the shore and a inconspicuous boat.
Onboard you will find threeThalmor soldiersand the abductor you’re looking for.
Alternatively, you could steal it from the Elf and end the mission without starting the fight.
It’s therefore a bonus for highly developed characters.
Additionally you will unlock a new mission -The Lost Legacy.
