There is nothing special to do in Ambrette Town.
Use the time to buy a Escape Route item, it might prove helpful later.
Head to East, through a passage, and enter route 9.
Head down till You see a Pokemon near the rocks.
Approach him and mount him to pass the rocky area.
Pass through the rocky area and into the Glittering cave.
Inside the cave, proceed forward.
Go forward through all three crossings to enter the next room and progress the story.
In the next room proceed forward, battle Team Flare trainers until You reach an area with a scientist.
After a battle, the scientist will offer You a fossil.
you might choose between a Jaw or a Sail fossil.
The Jaw fossil evolves into a Rock/Ground bang out, when the Sail will grant You a Ice/Rock pokemon.
By now You must know that diversity is key.
Now you gotta get out of the cave.
Return to Ambrette Town.
Once in town, enter the Fossil Lab ( the closest building to the Rout 9 passage).
There, you’re free to change the chosen fossil into a Pokemon.
Now head to the aquarium building (left next to the passage from Route 8).
Once there go left to exit the building.
