A path near the chest leads to a cavern with a shortcut toValley of the Drakes.
Form that area you’re free to easily get toFirelink Shrine.
Once you get toValley of the Drakeswalk over the narrow bridge and head to the left.
[1]launch the gate - a shortcut toNew Londo RuinsandFirelink Shrineis created!
Watch out though foran undead dragonon your way.
you’re free to kill him with a bow from the distance.
After visiting the path described above, return to the bonfire in Blighttown swamps.
From that place you’re able to also enterThe Great Hollow(and laterAsh Lake).
The area is also guarded by giants throwing boulders - these are slow enemies with mighty blows.
you’ve got the option to easily defeat them on the ground, just avoiding their slow attacks.
