Therepair toolcan be obtained at the very start of chapter 2 at the earliest.
It’sparticularly useful in repairing vehicles, damaged oxygen stations in wrecks and during some of the main story quests.
Because of its durability, it should last you for most of the game.
To get therepair tool, leave your second temporary base in chapter two and head towards the asteroid cave.
There, on the left side near the entrance, you will find a broken capsule.
Inside, you will find a tool embedded in the control console by the windshield.
You will need to examine it to obtain its blueprint.
