Character screen is the basic source of knowledge about the individual party members.
you could find here their inventory, equipment, statistics, attributes, skills and bios.
Therefore, you’re free to conveniently assort, e.g.
ammo to the character who uses it, instead of carrying it over manually.
weapons or ammo only.
Also, each item can be marked as waste.
Other items (white colour of the name) can always be used for something.
However, those books are of not much more use.
These items can be sold for unique rewards.
