Macedon location is not the best.
There is Tylis on the east - one more opponent willing to conquer your land.
Macedon has one of best infantry units available in the game.
Its spearmen along with shield bearers, pikemen and melee infantry are able to defeat every encountered opponent.
Shield bearers
Elite Macedon spearmen.
They have the best armor in the game, making them virtually immune to enemy attacks.
Thanks to their high morale they almost never panic.
Unit of shield bearers is able to fight any foe.
Pikemen
Basic infantry equipped with pikes.
Foot companions
Macedon elite pikemen.
On the open field you should deploy them in the center of the rank.
Royal peltasts
Infantry equipped with javelins (used only when charging) and swords.
They perfectly cooperate with pikemen and shield bearers, attacking the enemy from the flank.
Archers
Basic Macedon projectile units.
Companion cavalry
Elite melee cavalry.
Greatly armored, well-trained, inflicting massive damage.
It is suitable to support infantry as well as to smash smaller infantry units and to counter enemy cavalry.
Tarantine cavalry
Missile cavalry, capable to thin enemy ranks before the main attack.
