Olivier is the starting companion.

He’ll give you the job over the radio, you won’t meet in person.
You will recruit him after completing the Mikhail in trouble quest.
Mikhail can teach you three abilities:

Olga is an excellent sniper.
you’re free to recruit her by completing A Voice in the Woords quest.
You must save him from the NAR soldiers.
However, it will be possible to recruit him only at the end of The Final Exam quest.
