There are two main types of NERO Research Sites.

Many caves are inhabited by hordes of Freakers during the day.
Then don’t make a run at enter the cave because there is no chance to defeat the monsters.
Instead, wait until nightfall for the Horde to leave the cave and begin to explore the area.
Turn on the flashlight (the lower direction button on the cross pad) and carefully search the cave.
You should find a small camp and a white box with an injector.
The second bang out of NERO Research Sites are theresearch points behind small precipices.
Look around near the research point and find a place to jump.
Point your bike at it with nitro enabled, so you safely may jump to the other side.
Finding a way to the camp shouldn’t be a problem.
Upon arrival, locate the white box and remove the syringe from it.
