Melee weapons inDays Gone, as the use is subject to wear.
Repairs are only for melee weapons.FirearmsinDays Gonedon’t use upwithin time.
The exception are silencers that can be mounted on the firearms - unfortunately, those cannot be fixed.
The ability to repair melee weapons is unavailable in the beginning of the game.
To unlock it, you’re gonna wanna acquire the skill ofField Repairsfrom the Melee category.
We recommend that you react after its durability drops to the level of 10-20 percent.
We encourage you to further invest in Hard Hitter skill and Home Run skill.
Each of them increases the damage done by melee weapons.
To fix the weapon,hold L1 to trigger the survival circle.
Highlight the melee weapon you want to fix andpress R2.You need scrap to fix the melee weapons.
The more damaged the weapon, the more scrap units are required to fix it.
Always have as many scrap pieces with you as you may carry.
This will allow you to repair weapons immediately after they get damaged and protect them from permanent destruction.
