Yes, Anthem has microtransactions.
This section of the guide informs you what kind of items can be bought for real money.
InAnthem, the microtransactions system only involves cosmetic items.
These may involve a different looking armor or unique stickers and materials that cover the javelin.
Aside from Shards, you could spend Coins (the second currency) to buy the same cosmetic items.
Coins are the main currency in game.
Coins are awarded for your progress in game, e.g.
by completing challenges or missions.
As a result, you might amass coins for any cosmetic items without spending real money.
Anthem does not contain any lootboxes.
