Weapon wear - what causes it?
InDying Light 2, all melee weapons have a stat calledDurability.
It informs you about a given weapon’s condition.
Eachattack with a given weaponthat hits the opponent or an object will gradually deplete the durability bar.
It is worth noting that this does not apply to ranged weapons, e.g.
Instead of the durability stat, you will need to have ammo for them.
Weapon repair - is it possible?
InDying Light 2,you cannot repair weapons in the traditional way, i.e.
by using crafting materials or visiting craftmasters.
The game has a mechanic that allows you torepair selected weaponsfrom among those carried in the inventory.
it’s possible for you to only repair weapons that havemodifications slots(example in the picture).
These are mostly high-quality weapons, e.g.
rare, unique or artifact.
Weapons can berepairedby installing modifications in them.
As a reminder, you could get modifications as loot or buy them fromcraftmasters.
To repair a weapon, choose any modification and place it in a damaged weapon.
Each modification restores 50 durability points.
Here are some important information:
A weapon with 0 durability is irretrievably destroyed.
you could’t restore it back to half or full durability bar.
have a go at have a lot of lower-quality weapons in your inventory for less demanding enemies.
you’ve got the option to buy it from one of the craftmasters in the game world.
The Reinforcement modification should befurther improvedby spending infected trophies and the Old World currency.
This can increase its effectiveness, i.e.
the weapon will lose durability even slower.
The highest level of Reinforcement (level 9) will make the weapon lose its durability extremely slowly.
Unfortunately, you cannot achieve complete “indestructibility” of melee weapons.
