Reaching the ruins
The Kuwaq Yaku village is a large location, offering numerous side activities.
The story requires you to reach theruins located north of the village.
Upon entering them you will see a cut-scene, after which you could proceed.
The new area will enable you to avoid your enemies by diving beneath them.
But you may as well use this opportunity to take them down by surprise.
The next location you’ll visit is the mercenary camp, with only a single path leading to it.
Begin with locating an area with lots of mud (see the picture).
Interact with it to cover Lara in natural camo.
It will make the character more difficult to detect by letting her better merge with the environment.
The enemies in the neighboring locations should preferably be take out by surprise.
Locate isolated mercenaries and either perform a take down, or shoot them with the bow.
Some of the enemies may stand close to each other, so use throwing objects to divert their attention.
Having secured the area, find the door leading to the oil shaft, shown on the picture.
You’ll need to pry them open with the climbing axe.
Jump on the climbing wall, use the axe, and rappel down into the cave.
