The mission involves attacking Izumi Port, the main Mongol base.
Our walkthrough will help you in finding and defeating Khan, the leader of Mongols.
In all, you’ll participate in two different clashes against Khan.
Before embarking on this quest,develop your hero as much as possible and upgrade his equipment.
Don’t forget to restock on gadgets.
During this quest, you’ll take part in many battles, including a two-phase boss encounter.
MeetYunaagain at theJogaku Temple.
Finally, talk to Yuna again - you’ll be taken to the vicinity ofIzumi Port.
Defeat the Khan’s reinforcements
Fighting with Mongol soldiers begins shortly after entering thefishing village.
During the battle, remember to protect yourself from archer attacks.
If you’ve unlocked Moon Stance, use it on opponents with large shields.
Fighting them from a different stance can be very troublesome.
During the fight, a situation occurs where Yuna falls and begins to bleed out.
Some archers fire poison arrows which can hurt Jin.
Don’t forget to heal if necessary and focus on archers to avoid further damage.
After the battle is over, talk to Yuna.
In this part of the mission, you must cross the frozen riverbed shown in the picture.
When enemies are on the move, hide in tall bushes growing on the sides.
Walking on the roofs of buildings and the ropes that connect neighbouring roofs can help you avoid detection.
The vantage point you oughta reach isthe observation towervisible in the distance.
There are two guards near the ladder leading to the observation tower.
you could distract them with your wind chimes or wait for an opportunity to sneak up to the ladder.
Confront the Khan at the manor house
You have to head for the estate.
You have to reach the gate and squeeze through the gap.
Before you do that,replenish your health and equip armor.
Once you get to the courtyard of the mansion, you’ll be confronted by the boss.
The boss’s other red attack is the one that starts with a simple swing.
You have to react in advance because the incoming red attack has a lot of range.
Get away from Khan as soon as possible after you see him perform this combination.
Once the animation of Jin’s and Khan wrestling appears, the boss also begins to useblue attacks.
As a reminder - parrying blue attacks is only possible if you’ve acquiredUnyielding Sword Parryskill.
Otherwise, treat them the same as red attacks and avoid them.
Khan is best attacked when he launches regular or blue attacks.
However, you might just as well go without them.
Relying on normal parries and counter-attacks will simply lengthen the entire battle.
Khan temporarily blinds the hero and escapes to his ship.
Along the way, you’ll encounter normal enemies that will attempt to stop you.
The best idea is to avoid fights and focus on getting to the ship.
The point is to avoid being hit to get to enter the second battle with Khan with full health.
Khan - second duel with boss
The second confrontation with Khan begins after you boardthe Mongol ship.
This clash is significantly different than the first one.
Whenthe first phase of the battlebegins, focus on attacking and killing thestandard opponentson board the ship first.
Remember to adjust Jin’s stance following the targeted opponent.
Make use of bombs or Kunai knives.
Boss uses the same skills as during the first clash.
It’s worth reminding that usingyour katana is not the only way to hurt your opponent.
It should make it easier for you to stop his attacks and return with attacks of your own.
The smaller enemies will appear during the fight, attempting to engage you.
The first phase of the fight ends with a brief cut-scene depicting the Khan being thrown off balance.
Inthe second phase of the battle, more Mongol troops approach.
You must resume attacking standard enemies.
A group of archers will appear on the upper deck.
The second phase of the clash ends once you’ve weakened the Khan enough.
Jin launches an attack which destroys boss’s spear.
Inthe third phase of the fight, Khan will equip his sword.
If you catch on fire, roll quickly to stop losing health points.
In case of poisoning, quickly replenish your health.
Fight until a new cut-scene activates that depict the boss being thrown off balance.
Khan will get tired and cease his attacks.This is an opportunity to finally defeat the boss.
Approach him and push Triangle a few times to deprive him of his sword and shield.
A final Katana attack will stab the boss in the chest.
Jin then murders Chan by decapitating him.
After you regain control of Jin, you will be on horseback and traveling with Yuna.
As always, the chosen dialogue options do not play a significant role.
You will soon reach the point where the mission will end.
