Journey to the mountain
Time to continue the journey.
Spend experience points and then move forward.
Walk on the narrow edge, jump to the other side and then climb up.
You have reached a cave.
There is a hanging bucket on the right from the entrance - knock it down and collect silver.
Approach Atreus, lift him up and order to throw down the chain.
You are now on the upper level.
Go right and jump towards the chest with silver.
Go back on the bridge and climb up.
Another chain can be found on one of the ledges - throw it down.
Then, you have to climb up again.
Keep moving until you reach the end of Wildwoods.
Pick up silver from the corpse and move forward.
You now have to face a group of draugrs.
Defeat them and then look around the area (destroy, e.g.
vases and collect a little bit of silver).
After that you have to climb up.
Legendary chests contain valuable loot, but are usually well hidden.
This one contains a rune - equip it to strengthen Kratos.
Keep moving forward, pick up the column and follow Atreus to the bridge.
You are now on the lower floor - a group of enemies awaits you here.
Use the newly acquired rune and venture to fight single enemies.
Remember to throw the axe at the enemy that will attempt to shoot you from above.
Approach the obelisk with runes and read them.
New enemies appear - armored draugrs that attack with powerful weapons.
Their strikes hurt a lot so pay close attention to them and dodge their attacks.
After that you have to climb the wall and move forward.
Jump down to Atreus and proceed forward.
Collect silver from the fallen soldiers and head towards the creature that is humming a melody.
You now have to face a Revenant - this is a new and very powerful enemy.
Avoid the monster’s projectiles and take a stab at approach it from an angle.
Jump on the remains of the bridge.
Knock down the bucket with silver.
Go right and launch the red chest.
Jump to the other side and face a draugr.Here, you might also find another Nornir chest.
bring up the chest and go back a bit.
Jump forward when you are ready to open a lesser chest on the right.
You reach a place where you will have to fight another challenging battle.
First, defeat a few regular draugrs.
After that a few armored draugrs will appear.
You have to use rage.
Remember to perform rolls and dodges.
Pick up silver and lower the bridge - you have to aim the axe at the sign located below.
Move forward and pop launch the red chest on the right.
Go back to the gate and open it.
Fight off the Reavers
Reavers will appear.
The enemies “go back to life” after a short cut-scene.
Escape the ruins
Time to escape from the ruins.
Move closer to the wooden boards and lift Atreus up.
The boy lowers a chain for you - climb it.
Move forward - follow the narrow edge.
Throw the axe at the tree on the right side of the bridge to proceed forward.

you’re able to test your newly upgraded weapon - a few new enemies will appear.
Head towards the closed gate.
Lower the bridge and slide down the chain.
Reach another red chest.
you might now proceed through the gate and enter inside the mountain.
Go through the narrow passage and then aim at the upper right corner of the spike trap.
This moves it and reveals a new passage.
Repeat this action and move forward.
A red chest can be found behind the niche in the wall.
Turn around, aim at the corner of the spiked gate and pop kick open the chest.
Go forward until you reach a spike trap.
Aim at the wooden sign to “twist off” the trap.
Then, you have to throw the axe at the mechanism on the bottom.
Win the fight and go back on the arena.
Destroy the barricade on the left and fire up the small chest with silver.
Recall the axe and aim at the corner of another spike barrier.
Move forward and turn around.you could now open another Nornir chest.
Go outside, watch the cut-scene and follow Atreus.
Let the boy to decipher the riddle.
You have to turn around, get on the hill and activate the puzzle’s mechanism.
Enter the cave and follow Kratos' son.
Time for another hunt!
Hunt with Atreus - fire troll (mini-boss)
Both characters are hunting another animal.
Jump down and face another troll.
This time it is a fire troll to kill.
The new aspect of the battle is the need of dodging flaming attacks of the troll.
It is possible to attack the mini-boss from a distance by throwing an axe and using Atreus' support.
Look around the area, collect loot and head towards another Nornir chest.
This time you have to find three bells and hit them to kick off the chest.
The solution for that puzzle can be found above.
When you are done, you’ve got the option to go to the cave and jump down.
As Atreus, you have toaim at the animaland shoot it.
The creature is invulnerable to arrows - chase it!
Jump down into an old village and explore the cabins.
You will find a little bit of silver.
A group of enemies will appear.
Use Leviathan to kill them.
Then, pick up the stone block and watch the cut-scene.
Find Atreus
Time to find Atreus who ran after the wild animal.
Run forward - you are in a labyrinth.
Find the boy by following his voice.
Go right, then left, then go right and left again- you reach the boy.
He is accompanied by a mysterious woman.
Help to save the boar.
Carry it to the Witch’s cabin.
Put the animal on the table and go to the garden to collect healing herbs.
Get closer to the white flowers and pick them up.
Then, you have to go to Atreus and speak with him.
Go to the Witch.
You come across a peculiar green circle and a few red crystals - these obstacles can be removed later.
The legendary chest located in this area is easy to find (it contains a good talisman).
Head to the boat when you are ready and leave the cave.
The compass shows you the direction - boat towards the ruins of a temple.
Atreus will read the rune that can be found in that place.
Luckily for you, the monster is friendly.
From this point on it is possible to explore the surrounding islands, which is optional.

Run through the huge bridge and head towards the top of the mountain.
You come across new enemies.
Also, you learn that Atreus can now attack enemies by using physical attacks which have stun properties.
This is very useful - Kratos' son is turning into a true warrior!
Pass through the tower and the caves
launch the gate and move forward.
Be careful, there are new enemies ahead.
Use Atreus' ranged abilities and have a go at stun the foes.
You come across a yellow flame and a torch.
Aim your axe at the torch to put out the flame.
This reveals a passage that will lead you forward.
Repeat this action a few times until you reach a chest with silver.Inside you could find a code.
Eventually you better collect four ciphers to read runes.
Climb up and go right.
You reach a new location -Foothills.
You meetSindri, Brok’s brother.
He canupgrade your axe.
You will be attacked by a large group of enemies.
Defeat them and go right -you come across another Nornir chest.
Recreate the runes presented on the nearby signs to open it.
you’ve got the option to also open two red chests.
you’ve got the option to continue your journey.
Jump down and head towards the mountain.
Defeat another group of enemies and wolves.
After that you have to detonate the bombs and launch the red chest.
Duel with the ogre - mini-boss
Move forward… You are attacked by an Ogre!
This large enemy is very tough - be very careful, you don’t want to be defeated.
The confrontation with the ogre was also described on the First Ogre page in the Bosses chapter.
For defeating ogre you get e.g.
Go through the gate and head towards the black smoke.
Sadly, the path to the mountain’s top is blocked.
The Witch appears - this ends the mission.
