Look out for the coins
Once you collect a lot of coins, go to a checkpoint.
you might’t recover these coins when you respawn.
Take advantage of checkpoints
Checkpoints in Kao the Kangaroo look like glowing bells.
Each checkpoint can only give you one heart.
Watch out for your health in combat
Dying in combat is rather unusual in Kao the Kangaroo.
The opponents aren’t strong, you’re free to defeat them with a few punches.
Such an enemy can take your life when you’re simply exploring the map.
Watch out for their movements, as they are not signaled in any way, e.g.
by a shadow of a falling object.
Gather collectibles
Many of the collectibles on the map have a direct impact on the hero.
The heart fragments are the most important.
Use the shops
You will find a shop on every island.
Here you’ve got the option to buy clothes for Kao, lives and heart fragments.
The latter are the most important, and you should invest in the hearts at the beginning.
you might buy only 2 heart quarters in each shop.
Focus on it in advance and don’t panic, because they regenerate quickly.
