These events are optional and you do not need to complete them.

This is the full list of the available events:
1.
Skirmish - several of the Golden Path soldiers are fighting the soldiers of the Royal Army.
Kill the opponents to complete the event.
Rescue the hostages - soldiers of the Royal Army keep a hostage.
Eliminate them silently and untie the captive.
you oughta be careful, because the hostage is killed if you are spotted.
Assassination - a lieutenant of the Royal Army is usually accompanied by 2-4 other opponents.
Eliminate the lieutenant and search the body.
Kill him and search the body.
Bomb Defusing - you better defuse bombs.
double-check you are not spotted in the act.
7 Predators - kill all of the wild animals that attacked civilians/Golden Path soldiers.
Penal expedition - the once-captured outpost has been recaptured; stay there and fight the enemies back.
Broken car - sometimes, you meet civilians standing on the road, whose car has broken down.
You simply need to repair it.
