This can be achieved by completingTotems of HircineCompanion side quests in hopes of getting your hands on new totems.
Using this form is very limited, because typically it lasts only 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
No one forces you to change into a werewolf at a specific time or in specific circumstances.
The biggest disadvantage of lycanthropy is that transforming into a werewolf form is very limited.
Another disadvantage is that you might’t wear any armors when you’re running around as a werewolf.
You also can’t perform many activities when you’re in a werewolf state.
To summarize, being a werewolf is a more interesting and less complicated process than being a vampire.
It’s more like a bonus you might decide to use if the situation demands it.
