In Metro Exodus, while exploring the world, you will meet many monsters.
Many of them are the results of terrible radiation that destroyed the Earth.
On this tutorial page, you will find information about the monsters that exist in the game.
Some of them can only be found at certain times of the year.
Demon
Appearance: a huge mutant with wings.
Combat strategy: is able to grab the character and throw it down from a high height.
Watchman
Appearance: a mutant moving on fours.
He has a small amount of hair on his body and has yellow, sharp teeth.
Combatstrategy: they move in large groups and attack their target together.
Can also summon reinforcements.
Where can we encounter it: during the winter, near the underground and Volga tunnels.
Shrimp
Appearance: a huge crustacean, protected by armor.
Combatstrategy: hits with paws or spits venom.
Where do I meet them: on the autumn map, near the water.
Humanimals
Appearance: people damaged by radiation.
Combatstrategy: they move in large groups and attack their target together.
They can throw objects at heroes.
Where canweencounterthem: The Volga and some underground locations.
Lurker
Appearance: mutants moving on all fours.
On their body, you’re able to see veins and muscles protruding.
Combatstrategy: they move in large groups and attack their target together.
If they have little health, they flee to their hideouts.
Wherecan weencounterthem: The Volga and some parts of the Caspian Sea.
Combatstrategy: they move in large groups and attack their target together.
Where canweencounterthem: Taiga.
The Bear
Appearance: a huge bear.
Combatstrategy: pretty much destroys everything in its way.
Combatstrategy: charges at the hero.
Wherecan I encounterit: Underground facilities and dilapidated buildings, mainly in the Dead City.
Spider
Appearance: big, fat spiders.
Combatstrategy: they’re afraid of light and tend to hide underground.
Wherecan I encounter it: Underground facilities and dilapidated buildings (the Caspian Sea and Taiga).
Tentacles
Appearance: Slithery Tentacles emerging from the water.
Combat strategy: Ranged attacks; they will venture to topple your boat.
Where can I find it: The Dead City, shortly after getting the boat.
Librarian
Appearance: Blind and mutated gorillas.
Combat strategy: Although blind, Librarians search around for prey.
If they detect someone/something, they will kill it fast.
Where can I find it: The Dead City, near the end of the game.
