There are four modes to choose from:
Survival
The basic mode.
You start from a scratch, you gain experience, build items and structures.
The difficulty level can be changed in the options menu.
The game adheres to the basic mechanics.
This is the basic mode that uses all of the options available in Minecraft.
Hardcore
A mode for die-hard fans that look for challenges.
Also, difficulty level is permanently set to the most difficult one.
Adventure
Available only in the multiplayer mode over LAN.
