Go straight ahead.
walk over the catwalk and then, over another one.
You will receive a journal update (The Pump Rooms).
There are no forks on the path ahead, but there are some ladders.
Finally, you will reach a fork.
The door ahead is locked, so go right and climb up the ladder.
You will reachAuxiliary Pump Controls.
Go straight ahead and you will find avalve[1].
Return to the fork.
The door that used to be blocked is open now.
Enter the room and Your journal will be updated (Valves and Pipes).
The left side is blocked by the leaking steam.
As you follow the right path, the floor will soon collapse.
Run to the right, turn right at the fork and run ahead.
If you get lost, simply run where there are no electric discharges.
Take the upper passage.
You will reach a room withdamaged machinery[1].
Nearby, there is asmall ratchet[2].
Leave it alone and go ahead.
Pick it up and return to thedamaged machine.
Put the ratchet in (it will lock in place automatically).
Then, take thesmall ratchet[2]and do the same thing.
After that, approach thevalve[4]and turn it.
Your journal will be updated (Finding the Children).
Go straight ahead and climb down the ladder to the right.
Go straight ahead and to the left and you will reach a door.
Turn the valve and enter.
Again, you will have to tinker around with levers and valves.
Open another door and go ahead.
The door signedCore Systems Accesswill take you to the next area.
