Red Dead Redemption2 features five jobs requiring you to collect exotic items.
You have to get them if you’re aiming for 100% completion.
Collecting exotic items is part of the “Duchesses and Other Animals” mission.
It is only available in chapter 4, after the main mission “The Gilded Cage”.
Where do I start?
The mission begins in northern part of Saint Denis, in the building where Algernon Wasp runs his business.
Algernon Wasp can give youfive jobs for finding plumes, alligator eggs and orchids.
Delivering required items is rewarded with a lot of cash.
you could also collect the items without starting the job.
However, this will not provide you with any financial benefits.
These are very fearful creatures, so be very careful when you approach them.
Take out any bird you could as this is one of the few opportunities to get the plumes quickly.
Look for them during the day, as they do not appear in night time.
5 Little Egret Plumes- in the area marked on the screen above you should come across little egrets.
These birds are very fearful, so you have to be careful not to scare them away.
It’s best to snipe them from afar with Dead Eye.
5 Reddish Egret Plumes- in the area marked on the screen above you should come across reddish egrets.
They stand out when compared to other variations by having a darker shade of feathers.
Like the other birds of the family, they are very fearful creatures, which are easy scare away.
15 Lady of the Night Orchids- flowers that grow on trees, mainly around water.
Look closely at the large trees in the area marked on the map.
The job will yield you $110.
Take out any bird you might.
As you have to kill as many as 20 birds, this job will take several days to complete.
Ideally, you should collect all the feathers and leave, returning the next day for a new batch.
10 Moccasin Flower Orchids -small, green flowers with brown petals.
You’ll find them in the area marked on the screen shot above.
7 Lady Slipper Orchids -flowers with pink petals.
You’ll find them in the area marked on the screen above.
They are easy to spot due to their striking petals.
The job will yield you $125.
But be careful when you collect them.
A large alligator often stands on watch nearby and will attack you when you approach the eggs.
3 Acuna’s Star Orchids -white flowers growing on tall trees with few leaves.
7 Cigar Orchids -yellow flowers growing on very tall trees near water.
5 Ghost Orchids -white flowers growing on trees, often near water.
Don’t step on a gator when you collect them, though.
The job will yield you $150.
Take out any bird you’re free to.
If you have acquired some feathers during previous jobs, they will count towards this task.
5 Night Scented Orchids -very small flowers that grow on trees.
5Spider’s Orchids -white flowers that grow on trees in the marked area.
10 Rat Tail Orchids -white flowers that grow on trees.
Hard to spot due to their small petals.
The job will yield you $175.
Fifth job
5 Clamshell Orchids -small flowers growing on tall trees with few leaves.
5 Dragon’s Mouth Orchids -flowers with purple petals, growing in the area marked on the screen above.
5 Queen’s Orchids -small flowers with pink-white petals.
10 Sparrow’s Egg -while the name suggests otherwise, these are flowers.
They have few white petals and grow in the marked area.
The job will yield you $200, Exotic Hat and Algernon’s Revolver.
