She will give you aBook of Hints, which will be added to your inventory.
It allows you to get hints for solutions to current problems.

The book is also available in Hard Mode.
Choose theForestas your destination.
Ignore the forest and go right.
There is amuseum run by the curator Conrad- talk about every topic.
You will also receive aBusiness Card.
Examine theStoreroomusing the passage in the museum.
Go back to theLow Streetlocation in town and visitWally’s Maps-n-More.

Complete the steps described there related to using this item to open Otis' cell in the prison.
Open your inventory andcombine both monocles.
You will receive aDouble Monocle.
Go back to the museum.
Visit the locksmith on High Street.
Choose crackers from the inventoryyou took from the museum store andoffer them to Locke Smith.
This will allow you totake the Crackers from the plate.
Give the band magical properties
Return to the Real Voodoo storewith the Eyepatch.
Talk to the woman and opt for option to show the Eyepatch.
You will learn that you better obtainThe Bite of a Thousand Needlesto grant the Eyepatch its magical properties.
Return to the Forestand enter it.
On the first screen, you should find aCarnivorous Plant.
Select theKnifefrom the inventory and use it on the plant - it will be added to your inventory.
Select theEnchanted Eyepatchfrom the inventory - if you use it, Guybrush will turn into a dead man.
Talk to theQuartermasteragain about the job offer.
You have to show him the mop you built earlier.
You will be allowed on the ship andyou will advance to the second chapter.
