The game offers up to 18 passive skill trees.
Some of them are available from the beginning.
Others must be unlocked by performing Heroic Deeds or by reaching certain Inquisitor Ranks.
The majority of the passive skill trees is available to all classes.Crusader and Assassin share the same abilities.
Psyker has two additional skill trees.

Single DPS
Modifies how long a given DPS attack, e.g.
poisoning, will last.

All Inquisitors who can deal DPS damage.
Area Effects
Bonus to Area of Effect attacks.
Kill 2,500 Horde-jot down enemies.
Mainly Psykers and Crusaders who can deal Area of Effect damage.
Heat Attacks
Bonus to fire damage.
Blow up 250 explosive tanks.
Mainly Psykers and Crusaders who use grenade launchers.
Damage Over Time
Bonus to toxin damage.
Criticals
Increases a chance to perform a critical hit.
Deal a total of 1,000,000 damage.
Aimed Shots
Increases accuracy and makes sniper rifles more efficient.
Assassin and Crusader
Inquisitors who specialize in using sniper rifles.
Execution
Increases a chance of performing an execution and grants bonuses that activates upon using them.
Kill 5,000 enemies with melee weapons.
Psychic Combat
Adds new combat specializations.
Available from the start
Psyker
Useful for increasing Psyker’s offensive power.
Psychic Debuffs
Unlocks new debuff specializations.
Available form the start
Useful, if you rely on weakening your enemies in combat.
Physical Attacks
Bonus to melee damage.
Kill 50 enemy commanders.
Useful for all Expertise of both of these classes.
Movement
Increases your character’s movement speed.
Inquisitors who rely on dexterity such as the Assassins.
Suppression
Gives bonuses for keeping Suppression at a certain level.
Complete 25 side missions.
For everyone
Debuffs
Increases Suppression effects inflicted by the Inquisitor.
Deal 1,000,000 Suppressing damage.
Support
Increases maximum amount of Focus and Adrenaline.
Reach Inquisitor Rank 13.
All Crusader and Assassin Expertise.
Hit Point
Increases maximum amount of health points.
Receive 500,000 Suppression damage.
Useful for characters who rely on strength such as the Crusader.
Radical Path
Bonus damage and increases a chance to deal critical damage.
Puritan Path
Increases health points and grants bonuses to allied squads.
Make progress in the main storyline (blocks Radical Path)
Characters with small amount of health points.
