Leveling up inThe Ascenthappens after gaining enough experience points.
New levels allow you to improve skills.
Thanks to this, experience is gained naturally during exploration.
After death, enemies are reset and will often reappear in a given location.
Thus, intentional dying can be a way for the so-called experience farming.
Simply defeat some of the enemies in a given place, and then let the others kill you.
Of course, side quests are equally effective - they also provide quite a lot of XP.
