Time for the finale of Edward the Confessor’s campaign.
Difficulty level of this mission:9/10
At the beginning of the mission you control Edward the Confessor and his army.
The king has a unique ability - you’re able to switch between two armies.
You have infantry, cavalry and archers all under your command.
Regroup the units and prepare for an upcoming battle.
Start your attack with infantry.
Use cavalry to, e.g.
attack archers from a side.
Watch out for spearmen who can counter this key in of unit.
attempt to minimize infantry losses - the fight will soon end.
After that the king will head for reinforcements.
Your objective is to defend yourself - this will be a very difficult thing to do.
Go back to the base.
Place your existing units near this building and order your troops to regenerate strength and to replenish missing warriors.
After that you must start building three watchtowers.
Place your forces near the towers and order them to use defensive formation.
Wounded units should retreat to the barracks.
The defense will cost you many lives - the enemy attacks you without a pause.
Be very careful - you don’t want to make a mistake.
Build archery range if you still have time - recruit units to counter enemy archers.
Around 17 minutes mark your savior will arrive - Wilburg has brought a huge army.
Time for a payback!
Charge at the enemy - first, you have to destroy their catapults.
Then, you must join the defenders inside the town.
This defense will be much easier than the previous one.
Soon, the king himself will appear.
Use cavalry to, e.g.
destroy catapults and assisting units.
Enemy spearmen will get destroyed by your defenders.Congratulations!
