The Confessionstarts automatically after sufficiently weakening the cult in Holland Valley.
The attack happens when you reach level 2 out of 3 in this region.
you’re free to’t protect yourself from the cultists, just like inThe Cleansing- this mission is mandatory.

The main character loses consciousness due to Bliss drug.
The game takes you to the cultists' hideout in the valley -John’s Gate bunker.
Note- As always, you might’t use your weapons nor your allies throughout the entire mission.
During the interrogation you might answer John (press the button displayed on the screen) or ignore him.
After that you will be left alone.
Start moving on the chair (tilt the left analog stick).
Reach the stairs and slide down tobreak the chair and free yourself.
Reach the room with two cultists.
Perform takedowns and get amelee weapon.
Search for chances to perform takedowns on cultists.
you’re able to also get apistol.
Reach the huge door with a wheel handle and proceed to another part of the bunker.
