Here we have outlined all the interactions it’s crucial that you have with Sadness.
Your main task is to reach the upper floor and find the girl.
However, you could perform some minor interactions that will help you understand the plot and increase the immersion.
First Meeting with Sadness
Once you enter the hotel, you are free to look around it.
Here, you will find onepostcard.
you’re able to check the locations of collectibles on a separate page.
After checking the entire floor, approach the locked hallway.
When you attempt to get to the bars, you will hear something constantly hittinga bell.
Go to the bell and make a run at use it.
You will be distracted by a ball falling down the stairs.
This will summon your spiritual part you will encounterSadness.
Sadness will talk to you for a while and then run away.
You won’t meet her until you reachthe secondfloor.
The stairs, however, are blocked.
You must use the elevator to get to the higher floor.
Use the appropriate button and wait to see what happens next.
Remember that whatever happens, you are not able to change it.
All events are part of the story line.
Switch to your spirit form and exit the elevator.
When that happens, you will have to start exploring the hotel all over again.
Go down the stairs and head to the tombs located at the end of the living room.
Absorb the energy that will enable you to perform spiritual attacks.
Go back upstairs, get closer to the elevator and usethe spirit blast.
This will fire up the elevator doors and allow your normal form to leave.
you might protect yourself from them by usingthe spirit shield.
There is an achievement associated with this -Medium Rare.

Use the door on the left.
Switch to your spirit form and run over the threshold.
In the room, you will find only one interesting thing -a key.
The strange keyis on the small table on the right side of the room.
You will need it in a moment, so put it in your inventory.
Exit into the hallway and head to the door on the right, nearthe evacuation sign.
Use the key and then enter the room.
you might immediately jump down to the lower floor throughthe hole in the floor.
Once you enter the next room, you’ve got the option to immediately examine the vase.
The heroine will point out that there aren’t anyflowers.
This will bring back a memory, which we described in detail on a separate page of our guide.
Use your spirit form and move to the next room.
After entering the room, head straight to the door with the hole.
After watching a short cut-scene, go inside.
Once in the bathroom, approach the tub and drain the liquid that is in it.
Doing this will unlockEdge of Sanityachievement.

Return to your normal form and approach the wall covered byskin.
Cut it open withthe razorto get to the next room.
Remember that cutting the skin will open a passage for you in both the normal and spiritual worlds.
Getting to Sadness
When you reach the room, you will see a driedsunflower.
Take it out of the pot it will be useful soon.
Return withthe sunflowerto the room withthe hole in the ceilingand place the flower in the vase.
After that, you’re able to gainthe energyyou need to move on.
Return to the corridor and head to the very end, to the stairwell passage.
Your spirit form will be attacked by moths you must protect yourself usinga spirit shield.
Go to the upper floor to get to the next part of the building.
At the top, you must movethe cartthat blocks the passage.
After exiting the stairwell, turn right.
You must cut the skin usingthe razorto get to the next part of the room.
You will arrive at Thomas’s office.
When you make a run at pop launch the door, Sadness will appear Marianne will talk with her.
