The map consists of different areas ofVelen.
A map ofNovigrad, Oxenfurt and the surroundingscan be found in the next section of this guide.
These are parts of the main location - Velen, which we have described separately.
Of course, you shouldn’t depend completely on those suggestions.
The inn itself is most important, you will visit it during the main storyline.
There are many optional locations here as well.
Geralt must have a special pass to get through but luckily it is easy to bypass those outposts.
Geralt must meet with him during one of the main quests.
In addition to the perch you should visit nearby village and trade or craft there.
M4 - Midcopse- Suprisingly, the Midcopse isn’t the most important location on this map.
You visit this place mostly so that find nearby witch’s hut.
The hut is linked to the main quest.
Western part of the map offers many additional places, including bandit camps.
You should explore those territories after you gain some levels.
you might visit this place early in the game, mostly to complete some quests.
It’s different with the treasures, the most valuable items are protected by very strong monsters.
M10 - Fyke Isle- the title island is the main attraction of this location, South of Velen.
Here Geralt can complete side quests related to Keira Metz and the wizard.
There are many strong monsters there that can easily kill a weak character.
Sadly, there are not too many locations occupied by civilians here.
M11 - Bald Mountain- It’s one of the smallest locations explored inVelen.
Here you won’t find any characters or notice boards that will add new quests to your journal.
You will only finish here some quests started in neighboring regions.
You should be careful and visit this location later in the game.
M12 - Military Camp- The camp is located on the south-eastern part ofVelen.
The camp itself is occupying most of the map and sadly Geralt is not allowed inside.
It means that thorough exploration of the map shouldn’t take you a lot of time.
There aren’t many interesting places here.
