Each method of fighting has its pros and cons, however, a lot depends on your preferable playstyle.

It is worth noting that opponents will adapt to the way you start a fight.

This means that if you start using melee attacks, your opponents will do the same.

If you start shooting, the enemy will open fire too.

Hand-to-hand combat makes much less noise but it takes a little longer to finish an opponent than using firearms.

As for melee combat itself, the key to winning is dodges.

Dodging at the right time is not very difficult, and it gives great bonuses.

When you do a perfect dodge, time slows down for a while.

The enemy will not react, meaning they will receive considerable damage.

Don’t attack blindly.

If you keep doing this, the enemy will make a dodge and deal you a lot of damage.

A good way is to “mix” attacks if you want to be on the offensive.

Attack your opponent twice, and then follow them with a guard break.

Then perform 3 attacks and another guard break.

With this strategy, you might easily defeat some opponents.

However, this won’t work on tougher ones.

In these situations, focus on dodging and counterattacking.

There are lethal weapons, however, it is better to use the incapacitating ones.

By killing someone, you’re able to affect relationships with other characters.

As for firearms, the game has pistols, rifles, and shotguns.

One accurate headshot is enough to kill an enemy.

Remember, however, that each weapon has limited ammo, so do not waste it.
